At the Artisan Inn Studio – Lodging and Creative Retreat, we understand that plans can change. To help us create the best experience for all of our guests, please review our cancellation guidelines below. These steps ensure clarity, fairness, and a smooth process for your group and for our team.
How to cancel your reservation
Should you need to cancel your stay, please send your notice by email. Your cancellation becomes effective on the date it is sent, and you will receive an email confirmation follow-up from us to ensure everything is processed correctly.
Why this matters: Written communication provides a clear, timestamped record for both you and the Inn, helping us maintain accuracy and fairness for all retreat bookings.
Cancellations made 60+ days before arrival
If you cancel 60 days or more before your scheduled arrival date, your full deposit and any payments made will be refunded in full.
Why this window is generous: Retreat weekends and family stays are usually planned far in advance. This timeframe allows us an excellent chance to rebook your dates without penalty to you.
Cancellations made 59 days or less before arrival
If you cancel 59 days or less before your reservation begins, the deposit will be forfeited.
Our intent: This policy balances guest flexibility with the reality that reservation dates become harder to fill as the stay approaches.
Forwarding deposits to a new reservation
Deposits generally cannot be transferred to a future reservation. However, in rare and special circumstances, exceptions may be considered.
Why exceptions are limited: Each booking is tied to specific dates on our reservation calendar, but we also recognize that life can be unpredictable—so we review unique situations with care.
If The Artisan Inn must cancel
In the unlikely event that an emergency or unexpected circumstance requires The Artisan Inn to cancel your reservation, you will be offered the opportunity to reschedule, and your full deposit and payments will be transferred to your new booking.
If rescheduling isn’t possible for your group, you will receive a full refund of all deposits and payments made.
Our commitment: Your peace of mind matters. This policy ensures that you never carry the financial burden of an Inn-initiated cancellation.

Your group gets first choice to book the same week next year. Just let us know before checkout if you’d like to reserve it.
